CASN, in partnership with the Canadian Alliance of Nurse Educators in Simulation (CAN-Sim) developed five virtual simulations to complement and build upon the modules included in this e‑resource. Together, these simulations follow a public health nurse and a nursing student as they respond to climate‑driven vector‑borne disease risks within a school and the broader community, using a planetary health and equity‑informed lens. Learners are encouraged to complete each module in this e‑resource prior to engaging in the accompanying virtual simulation. A direct link to the corresponding simulation is provided at the end of each module. For learners who wish to access the virtual simulations independently, links are provided below. The virtual simulations are interconnected and designed to scaffold learning; learners are strongly encouraged to complete them sequentially.
𖢥 Virtual simulation 1: Public health nursing and VBDs
𖢥 Virtual simulation 2: Populations at risk
𖢥 Virtual simulation 3: Primary and secondary prevention
𖢥 Virtual simulation 4: Tertiary and quaternary prevention
𖢥 Virtual simulation 5: Advocacy
