CASN Council Meeting 2016 – Academic Administrator Forum

SPECIAL SESSION AT THIS YEAR’S ACADEMIC ADMINISTRATOR FORUM :  Advocacy – Sending the Right Message

The Council meeting is an excellent opportunity for ALL nursing administrative leaders and faculty to learn about issues facing nursing education, and to collaborate with other nurses in Canada. Each member school is invited to bring associate/assistant deans and directors and faculty members, in addition to the voting dean/director to the Council meeting.

Tuesday, November 15th, 2016

Academic administrative leadership requires program heads to be successful advocates for their colleagues, staff and students in a variety of arenas, from the Minister’s office to the classroom.  This session is designed to provide attendees with tips and tricks to help them be the best advocates they can be, and to provide practical skills that can be used in your home institution.

Presentation by PROSAR Inbound, this session will focus on creating a message, targeting the appropriate audience and using the right medium.  Using the principles learned, attendees will be asked to choose an area of concern at their institution and develop a message to share with colleagues at the session.
