Program Highlights

  • Elections
    A slate of nominees will be presented for consideration for a variety of positions with CASN. For more information on nominations, please visit the CASN website or contact Sarah Anderson atsanderson@casn.ca.
  • 2nd Annual Undergraduate Studies Forum
    A half-day forum for undergraduate nurse educators and program coordinators that will be examining the future of nursing education.
  • Discussions on Simulation and Technology
    Network during the Wine and Cheese on the evening of Wednesday, November 20th and listen to a lively discussion on advances in simulation and technology.
  • Accreditation Updates
    A major review of the CASN Accreditation Program was conducted over the last year, and CASN staff and committee members have been working hard to implement suggested changes that will enhance the quality of the Accreditation Program.
  • CASN Awards
    Come celebrate with colleagues the presentation of CASN’s annual awards.

The objectives of this year’s Graduate Studies Forum include:

  • Discuss and identify approaches for mentoring new PhD nursing faculty members, to help them meet balance between research, teaching, and scholarship;
  • Discuss and modify a preliminary set of guiding principles for Nursing Master’s Education, and identify essential components; and,
  • Explore the topic of Practice as Scholarship, and discuss and identify approaches for maintaining Advanced Nursing Practice while engaging in Scholarship.
