Strategic Plan 2014 – 2018
Driving nursing education that transforms healthcare
Nurses across the country must be prepared to drive change in the pursuit of delivering the highest quality patient care and health system. As the Canadian healthcare system and the profession of nursing continues to evolve, the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing (CASN) is renewing our commitment to supporting our member schools in the delivery of the high quality education at all levels. CASN will continue to find new ways to provide resources that will assist educators in their teaching and professional development, and support research and scholarly activities in nursing education. CASN’s national voice will be used to advocate for the resources that the academic nursing sector needs to provide exemplary programs. We will continue to work with schools using our accreditation program to encourage schools to continue to strive for excellence in nursing education.
