CASN is requesting submissions for webinar presentations to promote the exchange of ideas and information as nurse educators are rapidly adapting to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Proposed presentation types may include but are not limited to:

  • Unique endeavors, initiatives, or innovative approach to address challenges related to COVID-19
  • Examining an area of nursing within the context of COVID-19 (e.g., public health, caring for older adults)
  • A panel discussion of a timely issues for nurse educators
  • Detailed tutorial of new ways of teaching and learning
  • An adapted presentation of research that is relevant to the global pandemic and nursing education

Proposed themes or areas to explore include but are not limited to:

  • How to ensure high quality education
  • Best practices for online and distance learning
  • Leadership in education in times of uncertainty
  • Virtual simulation and clinical education
  • Mental health and resiliency
  • Supporting at-risk populations
  • Supporting transition to practice into a stressed healthcare system
  • Protecting nurses, students, and new grads
