CASN Announces New Executive Director
 
Cynthia baker s_enDear colleagues,On behalf of the CASN Board of Directors and staff, I am pleased to announce our new Executive Director, Dr. Cynthia Baker.  She will take office as of October 5th, 2009. 

Dr, Cynthia Baker brings to CASN a wealth of experience.  In June 2009, she completed a mandate at Queen's University as Director of the School of Nursing and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences. Prior to this, she was the Director of L'Ecole de science infirmière at the Université de Moncton. She has contributed to CASN as an accreditation site reviewer, a member of the Board of Directors in 2005-2007, and as a member of task forces.

Dr. Baker has a Bachelor of Arts, Honours Sociology and Anthropology, McGill University; a Master of Philosophy in Anthropology, University of London, UK;  a Certificat en soins de santé mentale et en nursing psychiatrique, Université de Moncton; a Masters in Nursing, Dalhousie University; and a PhD in Nursing, University of Texas at Austin. 

En mon nom personnel et au nom du conseil d'administration et des membres du personnel de l'ACESI, c'est avec plaisir que je vous annonce la nomination du Dre Cynthia Baker à titre de directrice générale de l'ACESI.  Madame Baker débutera ses nouvelles fonctions en date du 5 octobre 2009.   Nous lui souhaitons la plus cordiale bienvenue!  / We extend our warmest welcome!
