Pre Conference Workshop on Scholarship

The Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing (CASN) is pleased to offer a preconference workshop on nursing scholarship in Toronto, Ontario on May 7th, 2012. The workshop will take place prior to the CASN Nursing Research Conference. 

Workshop Themes:
What is Nursing Scholarship?
How can Scholarship be enhanced?
What evidence demonstrates Scholarship?

Sessions include an overview of the domains of scholarship, delivered by Richard Gale of the Mount Royal Institute for Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, formerly of the Carnegie Foundation; an interactive session on the development of personal and institutional scholarship led by Judy Boychuk-Duchscher, who worked to develop SIAST’s Institute for Nursing Research; and a presentation on the links between scholarship and accreditation, delivered by CASN Accreditation reviewer and former chair of the CASN Accreditation Bureau, Madeline Buck.
