| Who makes the decision regarding a School's/Program's accreditation status? | | | The CASN Board of Accreditation determines the recognition decision; this Board is a CASN Standing Committee. The Board of Accreditation consists of ten members: - Four members, with full-time faculty positions in CASN member organizational units, elected by CASN Council;
- One representative of a service agency nominated by the Canadian Nurses Association;
- One academic representative nominated by the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada;
- One community representative selected by CASN Executive;
- One consumer (student/graduate) representative, nominated by one or more CASN member schools, and appointed by the CASN Executive Committee;
- One non-voting regulatory body representative selected by CASN Executive;
- The Executive Director as a non-voting member, who acts as Secretary to the Board of Accreditation.
