New CASN Website pic 3In January 2015, the regulatory bodies for registered nurses (RN) in ten jurisdictions in Canada introduced the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN®) as the entry-level registration examination for nurses. This examination is the property of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) in the United States, and is the American licensure examination for RNs.

This document reflects an analysis that was conducted to determine the extent to which the NCLEX-RN® tests candidates on Canadian entry-level competencies for registered nurses.
