imageThumbnails3 (1)CASN is pleased to announce that the 2012 Pat Griffin Nursing Education Research Scholar is Dr. Minawatie Singh.

In 2011, CASN created an annual award to support research in nursing education being carried out by a Canadian scholar.  Dr. Singh is an influential researcher in the area of accountability in education and practice, curriculum development and design, and international development in nursing education.  Dr. Singh’s commitment to her work has resulted in many scholarly articles and contributions to multiple academic manuscripts.  She also has a solid record of mentoring nursing students.  CASN is pleased to support this visionary researcher as she continues her scholarly work.

Dr. Singh will receive a $10,000 grant to promote her nursing education research through inquiry, mentorship, and dissemination.  Dr. Singh’s program of research in nursing education will be addressed when she provides the “Pat Griffin Annual Lecture” at the 2012 CASN Council meeting.
